Für die populäre Netflix-Serie Stranger Things wird ein neues Spiel für Android- und iOS entwickelt, wie Netflix und die finnische Spieleschmiede Next Games verkündet haben. Allzu viel ist zum neuen Spiel noch nicht bekannt, es soll sich aber laut einer ersten Beschreibung um ein Puzzle-Rollenspiel handeln. Der Release soll für 2020 geplant sein, ein konkretes Datum fehlt indes noch.
Wie dem Artikelbild zu entnehmen ist, wird das Spiel im Carton-Look designt. Das Spiel soll standortbasiert sein und dafür Google Maps integrieren. Berichten zufolge soll die Spielmechanik von Stranger Things für die mobilen Plattformen ein wenig an Pokémon Go erinnern.

Finnish game developer and publisher, Next Games, known for its The Walking Dead games, today announced a free-to-play mobile game title based on the hit Netflix original series, Stranger Things. The location-based puzzle RPG game is currently slated for release in 2020 on iOS and Android platforms.
The mobile game will reimagine the Stranger Things universe in the style of an 80’s Saturday morning cartoon. Through location-based mechanics and Google Maps integration, players can explore The Upside Down hidden around them in their daily travels and work with fellow fans to fight back its emerging evils.
