Google Play Store: Gutscheinkarten zuerst nur in den USA verfügbar

Kürzlich habe ich darüber berichtet, dass Google eigene Gutscheinkarten für den Google Play Store anbieten wird. Zudem wurden auch erste Bilder veröffentlicht, die Gutscheinkarten im Wert von 10 und 25 USD zeigen. Die Jungs von AndroidPolice sind nun sogar auf eine offizielle Support-Seite gestossen, die weitere, interessante Details zu den Gutscheinkarten preis gibt. Die Support-Seite ist zwar schon nicht mehr erreichbar, doch den Text konnten die Jungs von Android Police kopieren.

Auf der Support-Seite heisst es unter anderem, dass es Gutscheinkarten im Wert von 10, 15, 25 und 50 US-Dollar geben wird. Maximal können pro Google-Konto 2000 US-Dollar aufgeladen werden. In den USA werden über den Google Play Store auch Nexus-Geräte vertrieben, bezahlt können diese aber nicht mit den Gutscheinkarten. Und zum Schluss die wichtigste Info, die Karten werden zum Start nur in den USA erhältlich sein.

Google Play gift cards are available in the United States in the amounts of $10, $15, $25, $50. To find a retailer near you, visit play.google.com/about/giftcards. Any gift cards you redeem will appear on your account as part of your Google Play balance. Note that the Google Play balance has a $2000 limit.

On the back of your Google Play gift card, SCRATCH TO REVEAL CODE. Visit play.google.com/redeem and enter the redemption code found under the scratch-off section. Once you’ve entered a valid redemption code, the value of the card will be automatically applied to your Google Play balance, which will appear as a payment method when you go through the purchase flow on Google Play.
