Mit dem Pocophone F1 (zum Testbericht) hat die Xiaomi-Tochtermarke auch den eigenen POCO Launcher vorgestellt. Dieser kann auf jedem beliebigen Smartphone genutzt werden – ist also nicht den Poco-Nutzern vorbehalten. Ab sofort steht für den alternativen Launcher ein neues Update über den Google Play Store zum Download bereit.
Das Update bringt als „Highlight“ einen Dark Mode mit. Bei einem Smartphone mit OLED-Panel kann damit das eine oder andere Prozent an Akku eingespart werden. Beim Pocophone F1 selbst ist dies jedoch nicht der Fall, da aufgrund des extrem günstigen Preis auf ein OLED-Panel verzichtet wurde.

Folgende Neuerungen, Verbesserungen und Optimierungen bringt das neue Update:
- Fix the bug of icon pack with white background.
- Dark mode! Yay!
- You can add custom apps to App vault shortcuts now.
- Double tapping the screen to lock device works on all compatible models now.
- Icons got crisper and prettier!
- We fixed the bugs that slowed down the UI. Now it’s more responsive.
- We fixed multiple minor bugs as well.
